More on ‘Terrorists, freedom fighters and Arafat’s friends’
By T. J. Jayasinghe - Thalawathugoda
We are compelled to present our observations about the point of view expressed by an ‘observer’ in ‘The Island of 21/8 under the above title.
We do not find fault with the ‘Observer’ for his/her attempt to whitewash CNN. It is no secret that US media is controlled by the Zionist lobby, which is hell bent on massacring as many Muslims as possible, but to show that it is unbiased it will give the half-baked views of a so- called opposite party. TV viewers could clearly see how the CNN correspondents present massacres of innocent civilians, many of whom are children. We see it in Iraq and saw it in Lebanon.

I have read with interest the debate between GS an IH and wish to recall certain facts relating to the Arab-Israeli conflict re which GS accuses IH of having an "obsessive interest".
The British government hand in glove with international Jewry and backed by the other colonial powers and the US, planted the alien Zionist entity of Israel in the heart of the Middle East. Zionist terror gangs, the Godfathers of today’s terrorists, led by Menahim Begin and Yitzak Shamir (both of whom became Prime Ministers of Israel) unleashed wave after wave of terror massacring Palestinians village by village, driving them out of their lands and later colonizing these areas with Jews from various parts of Europe and Russia. This was done with the active support of the US and the West.

“ This fascinating book should be required reading for all serious students”.

Latheef Farook has invested 34 years of news gathering as a reporter and editor to tell a story devoid of emotionalism or exaggeration. The author avoids conspiracy theories, preferring hard facts to illustrate how Muslims have been forced to endure decades of betrayal at the hands of invaders that have often conspired with their own corrupt, self-serving or cowardly leaders.
This fascinating and compelling book is one that I would have been proud to have written myself. It's a tale of the West's expansionist will to power and unfettered greed secreted under the guise of spreading freedom and democracy. It's an indictment of the United Nations, which has served as a tool to legitimize crimes perpetrated by the big powers, and illuminates Western hypocrisy and double standards in a ruthlessly honest fashion.
